Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a lovely room tucked away down a small step and across a narrow corridor, offering excellent value for money. The surroundings were peaceful and attractive. The service was friendly and accommodating, though some aspects felt snobbish. The location was pleasant overall, with room for improvement and potential. Dining was enjoyable with good options available. Some facilities could be enhanced, but the overall experience was positive.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although facing the lovely internal court, had a stale and stuffy smell. The small electric heater made it a bit cold at night. However, the service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff. The location, set in a large parkland with beautiful surroundings, was a definite highlight. The dining experience was enjoyable with a good selection, and the facilities were up to standard.
The hotel had a wonderful charm with its own private staircase in the room dividing the space in two by wooden beams, creating a special atmosphere. However, the dining experience left something to be desired with unclean tables attracting flies. The service was excellent, and the location, while slightly outdated, offered an attractive rural setting near Woburn Abbey and Bletchley Park.
